Tara Gum

Tara gum is extracted from the seeds of the Tara tree. It is extracted by harvesting the pods and extracting the seeds, which are then cleaned and ground into a fine powder. This powder is mixed with water to extract the gum, which consists mainly of galactomannans that dissolve to form a viscous solution. The solution is filtered to remove impurities and then concentrated, usually through evaporation, to increase the gum’s viscosity.
